NEWS UPDATE

U.F.O. III won the Foxhunter second round at Hand on 20th June with John Crippen taking the reins:- (Please click here to view H&H article)

After only sitting on "Alfie" 3 times previously John managed to produce a fantastic jump off round to win this years 4th Foxhunter regional. With many top riders and horses at the show, there was a quality field of 65 competitors in the first round. After plenty of clears there were 26 through to round 2 and 16 went against the clock in the last round. Due to the number in the final round, course builder Peter Gillespie raised the course to 1.50m. Third to go, John was the first clear and after keeping up the pace with tight turns he managed to take a stride out between the double and penultimate fence which is probably what won him the class. Watching as the following horses made errors, mainly at the penultimate rustic oxer, his biggest threat came from Caroline Bradley and Caetano who eventually finished second. They join Alfie in the final at HOYS, after narrowly finishing in arrears by less than half a second. We look forward to returning to Horse of the Year Show for the second time with Alfie (pictured top right).

Clarendon Stud is now under new ownership. Taken over by Ring Sights Equestrian in summer 2006. There is continuous work being done to update and improve the already fantastic facilities. Previously an arab racing stud, we are now dedicated to showjumping and livery. The bottom yard is solely for liveries ranging from grass through to schooling liveries whereas the top yards are kept for our own showjumping horses. All of the horses kept with us are cared for to the highest of standards and we firmly believe that all horses should be treated individually. Please feel free to browse the rest of our website.
